Set License Level (RUNASLEVEL)

Each week I will be posting an article on my blog to keep you up to date with important and relevant technical information that I feel needs to be highlighted and reviewed.

Most of these points have come up during the support service sessions that I have with clients.

My goal in highlighting them here is that it will give you a quick way to refresh key points of your CAD software and help you make the most out of your Cad systems.

This week we cover the SETLICENSELEVEL (RUNASLEVEL) command:

If you’ve recently downloaded a 30-day BricsCAD trial, then it will run as BricsCAD Ultimate, providing you with access to all BricsCAD features.  If you are considering a lower BricsCAD level, and want to confirm its features, simply run SETLICENSELEVEL (use RUNASLEVEL on V20 and earlier) from the command line and follow the prompts.

Alternatively, you can go into SETTINGS and change the setting for RUNASLEVEL from there.

When you change levels, you will need to re-start BricsCAD to commit the change. When you next start BricsCAD, you can confirm the level you are running at by checking the Title bar.
