Downloading Old Releases

Each week I will be posting article on my blog to keep you up to date with important and relevant technical information that I feel needs to be highlighted and reviewed.

Most of these points have come up during the support service sessions that I have with clients.

My goal in highlighting them here is that it will give you a quick way to refresh key points of your CAD software and help you make the most out of your Cad systems.

This week we cover Downloading Old Releases from the Bricsys website.

Bricsys provides access to old releases on its website. To access, go to the Downloads page, then:

  1. Select the "Show old releases" option. This will update the page to allow access to older versions.
  2. Select the version that you require from the drop down list.
  3. Tick the terms of use box. This is required before downloading.

Please note:

  • If you're moving BricsCAD from one machine to another, that you should de-activate the license on the existing machine first. This frees the license up to allow it to be activated on a new machine.
  • With Stand-alone licenses you're allowed to activate your license on two machines (Office PC / Home PC), provided that the usage isn't concurrent. i.e. it is the same user in either location.
  • It's recommended that you retain a backup of the installer for older versions.
