BRICSCAD 2D Basics - Web Training

This remote web training course runs through the basics of using 2D BricsCAD. No prior experience in CAD is required.
Numbers are limited to maximise engagement, with a discount offered for multiple bookings.
All Sessions are recorded and made available to you as a resource you can refer to.
Course Content
The course will cover the following topics:
• The BricsCAD user interface. Explore the drawing area, menus, and command line.
• Construction of simple drawings by creating and manipulating basic objects.
• Use of drawing tools to construct and place objects accurately.
• Drawing structure and organisation.
• Annotation and dimensioning.
• Inquiry commands, how to measure, and find more information on drawing objects.
• How to re-use drawing content.
• Drawing layout, page setup, and printing.
• How and where to find help.
What you receive:
Attendees will receive the following:
• A copy of the training material, which includes sample templates, a custom menu, and some simple symbol libraries to get you started.
• PDF Training manual.
• Screen recording following each session, which you can download.
Requirements:
To undertake this course, you will need:
• A PC/Laptop with the latest version of BricsCAD installed.
• An internet connection capable of VDSL speeds or greater.
• Headset with mic, or headphones with webcam.
Timeframe:
This course is 12 hours in total, undertaken over 3 x 4 hour sessions over a 3 week period.
Cost:
Cost is $850 + GST per person. A 10% discount is provided for multiple bookings.

Session One
01- Interface & Drawing Commands
• How to use the BricsCAD training setup.
• The BricsCAD interface.
• Navigating a drawing, using OPEN, SAVE, Zoom, and Pan using our mouse. Paper space (layouts) & model space
• Basic drawing commands: LINE, CIRCLE, PLINE.
• Using the QUAD with drawing commands
• Using the Property Panel and Roll Overtips
• How to access HELP.
02 - Modifying Commands
• Modifying commands. MOVE, ERASE, COPY, TRIM, EXTEND, FILLET, STRETCH.
• How to Select objects (create selection sets). Adding and removing (Shift) objects from a selection set, Implied window selection, Fence. Using Quick Select
(QSELECT) from the property bar to build a selection set non-graphically.
• Working with Grips and the Manipulator
• Using the QUAD to modify objects
Session Two
03 - Drawing Accurately
• How to use cartesian & polar coordinates.
• Using direct distance entry in conjunction with drawing aids ORTHO & POLAR.
• Using dynamic mode.
• Using enquiry tools. DIST, ID, PROPERTYBAR
• Using entity snaps (object snaps)
04 - Drawing Structure
• Review the exercise set from our last session on drawing accurately.
• Go through the creation and use of layers.
• The creation of Hatch and controlling it using layers
• Look at working with viewports in paper space layouts.
Session Three
05 - Viewports & Images
• Continue to work through the use of Viewports, layouts, and layer control.
• Investigate the use of Images with drawings
• Look at how we can package drawings with ETRANSMIT
06 - Annotation & Blocks
• Work with annotation commands to add text and dimensions to our drawing.
• Introduce the use of blocks to group drawing entities together to create custom objects and symbols.
